This has been happening for a couple of months now.
When I first launch OBS, it starts fine. No errors are reported or anything like that.
When I go to any scene where I have desktop audio in use, and I have music playing or I'm using a mic, I see nothing from the meters. And if I record like that, no audio comes through.
So, tinkering with things, I found that if I switch the source under Desktop Audio to something else and switch it back, it works fine. But I have to do this every time I start OBS.
My hardware setup includes
-Pentium 14rh gen i7 PC with 32gb ram, 2rb hard drive, 8gb Radeon RS 580 I believe (currently away on vacation), 3 monitor setup
-Tascam Model 24 mixer
-10 or 11 PGA Drum mics plugged into the Model 24
My external software other than OBS
-OBS (obviously)
-OS is Arch linux
-I use Spotify or qmmp (MP3 player) to play music
