OBS crashing after trying to connect twitch account

i have no idea why but OBS keeps crashing every time i try to connect my twitch account for streaming. i'll try to explain as best as possible.

on 9/27/25, i kept getting an error code when OBS ( v32.0.0) would load up telling me there was a problem with the obs-ndi plugin and that it had to either be updated or removed. i never downloaded any kind of NDI when i first got OBS so i was confused. i checked the files and there was no obs-ndi plugin file or folder to be found. i ended up downloading NDI runtime v6.2.1 for macOS, thinking maybe that was the issue, and was still receiving the same error when loading up OBS.
i learned that DistroAV was the new plugin that needed to be installed, not NDI runtime (or so i thought). after installing DistroAV, i loaded OBS again and this time it said DistroAV could not load because NDI runtime was installed and needed to be uninstalled before continuing the process. i uninstalled NDI runtime along with all the files and apps i could find that went with it and restarted my macbook. opened OBS again and received a new error code 401 saying NDI runtime could not be found and that DistroAV cannot load without it.

after checking some settings, it looked like OBS needed an update so i did that to the newer version (v32.0.1) but am still getting the same 401 error code. i've tried everything. deleted files, cleared caches, uninstalled/reinstalled both NDI runtime and OBS. I tried older versions of OBS (v31.0.0 and v32.0.0) to find a way around it but when i try to connect to my twitch account in v31 i don't receive an SMS to be able to login, and on v32 i do receive an SMS but after i put in the code and hit submit OBS crashes. i'm at a loss of what to do at this point. i will attach my last log file if there is anyone who can help.

side note, when i look for the DistroAv plugin file to delete it and maybe try again, it is nowhere to be found.

I have been experiencing the same issue, I'm not sure if simply using the stream key is the method until they fix this error. I ended up rebooting my whole mac to see if there was some sort of virus only to find out it wasn't...

I had been having computer performance issues for a while so yesterday I erased and reinstalled everything. I'm also having OBS crash when I log into Twitch. I've restarted my iMac tried OBS in normal and safe mode. So far nothing helps.

I'm experiencing the same issues. Not sure what to do at this point. I've deleted OBS completely, deleted all files. And its like as soon as I update, everything went wrong. Maybe I put my streaming dream on hold or I just go to StreamLabs.

Im having the same issue on a mac mini. Obs immediately crashes trying to connect to twitch. I have tried so many different settings, restarting modem/router. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? When i add my stream key, it doesnt appear to fully connect to twitch.

Edit: I checked Discord and someone who seems to know what they're talking about posted this:

it's a known current issue, for the time being, the workaround for this is to connect to twitch manually via stream key. progress was recently made on this issue, and a fix should hopefully make it into a release before too long

Adding my name to this. Still no workaround that’s working for me. It crashes even when I try to make a new profile.

Spent hours updating everything on my Mac, deleting software that MAY conflict with OBS and nothing. I’m entirely baffled

I have the same issue since yesterday. before i just waas logged in. Now i cant stream anymore. Since yesterday i have the 2FA, two way with phone number check for logging in checked. have more that? maybe that can be the issue? Every time i want to autoriceren obs crashed.

Same here -- it is quite repeatable, happens right after hitting OK on the authenticator number entry, and appears to be a double dispose of a QTimer by the obs browser view.

I hope you can fix this sooner than I can download the source and debug it...
