OBS Watch Dog Violation

Is that a retraction?
Been aiming to do that but the thing is this is a dedicated stream PC and I haven't really made changes to it since 12/3 when it was working. I just made a scene with nothing but capture card and camera, still froze. I am at a loss.

Watchdog Violations?

What troubleshooting steps have you taken?

I more than likely could have fixed your issues in 10 minutes if I was sitting in your chair....

I made a scene with nothing else as a trouble shooting step based on the earlier recommendation. Unfortunately it didn't work.

1. Updated all drivers
2. Updated bios
2. Updated OBS
3. Disabled hardware gpu scheduling
4. Disabled hardware acceleration for media sources
5. Deleted some sources (chatbox)
6. Ran 20 loops of 3d mark to test gpu and temps. Its fine.
7. Ran memtest7 pro to check for errors. None found
8. Rolled back the Elgato 4k capture utility to earlier versions (this was only thing I could think of having changed)
9. Disabled plug-ins
10. Updated stream deck software

It hasn't been in this order, these are some of the things I have tried.

I am fairly well out of ideas.

It seems to crash even if it just sits there in OBS idly on a scene with just the capture card and webcam. I am at a loss, it appears a few other people may be having a similar problem.

Hi, if you're hitting blue screens than it is 100% certain OBS is not the root cause, although it sounds very likely that it is the trigger for some underlying issue you have going on. OBS is an application, it operates in the user space, blue screen errors are caused by hardware/driver issues. I would recommend troubleshooting this with a more generalized tech support as there are blue screen dumps that can be looked at to get to a root cause.....here we are limited to fixing issues within OBS and this is not something we'd be able to help with.

If you use discord, the r/techsupport server is good with this sort of stuff https://discord.com/invite/r-techsupport-749314018837135390

I haven't yet experienced this with anything but OBS. I'll keep poking at it, my issue seems very similar to the other user you replied to recently.

I would suggest reaching out to the server I linked and having them look at your blue screen dumps, there is no need to speculate when those contain an answer most likely.

Yep, fix the underlying issue(s) first.

I always search the reason/error code given. Generally it narrows things down far enough that I'm able to figure out what's going on fairly quickly.

Appears fixed after removing elgsto capture software and installing 4k pro driver on their website (which is older than one with current capture software)
I follow, to clarify, I did not add any scenes on 12/3. I made zero changes. It just stowpped working proper
